what to expect
After you’ve reserved your ticket you will be sent the exact address. Here’s what to expect when you attend the event:
1
Arrive at SGAC and check-in with Raffa, the creator of the space
2
Raffa or the teacher of the Workshop will chat with you about whatever activity you’ll be doing and make sure you’ve got all the materials you’ll need. Then you can settle in and find a spot and the NA beverage will be brought to you.
3
You get to enjoy your dedicated creative time - to learn how to do things, make stuff, and take breaks whenever you need to in the studio or garden. Your snack will be brought to you about halfway through your time.
4
You’ll finish up and if your creation is ready to go we will give you a folder to protect it on your journey home. If your creation needs time to process or dry we will take down your contact information and let you know when you can come pick up your stuff.
This is SGAC’s first 5 week class, taught by local artist Michaela Ayers of Nourish.
The class is $250 for 5 class sessions, which includes all the materials you will need, and a snack and NA beverage made by a local chef for each class.
If you need financial assistance there are 2 seats at a discounted rate of $200. The $50 will be deducted using a discount code at checkout. These scholarships are offered first come first served, please email raffa.reuther@gmail.com if you are interested.
Class is 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on July 6th, July 13th, July 20th, July 27th and August 3rd and will meet in the garden of SGAC

Nourish Collage Class is a 5-week course designed to nurture your creativity, deepen your sense of purpose, and reclaim your inner artist.
Through the practices of collage, reflective writing, and group dialogue, this course offers space to develop a practice that nourishes your creative leadership and mental resilience while building meaningful relationships.
Together, we’ll explore themes of identity, resistance, and collective care—drawing inspiration from revolutionary artists like Romare Bearden and AfriCOBRA.
You’ll receive a collage care pack, weekly prompts, and guided support as you build a personal body of work and contribute to our collaborative zine project.
Whether you're in a moment of transition or craving a more consistent creative practice, Nourish Collage Class invites you to imagine what creative power can look like.
🖼️ No prior art experience required.
